WAYS in partnership with Biovision.Nxt 2005

Following the success of the first World Life Sciences Forum BioVision in 1999, it was decided to further integrate the concerns and expectations of the younger generation. Consequently, the BioVision.Nxt initiative was launched, with the goal of promoting the career development and networking of the most promising talents in Life Sciences worldwide. BioVision, together with Science, organise BioVision.Nxt, which will take place within the context of The World Life Sciences Forum 2005 (April 11-15, 2005), and will bring together 100 of the most promising PhDs, Post-docs and MBAs from leading universities and research institutes around the world.

Science Education: Talent Recruitment and Public Understanding

The workshop is the follow-up meeting of the event organised in 2002 in Budapest, which aimed at disseminating the experiences of highly successful scientific research training projects. The present workshop is an excellent occasion for the evaluation of the projects developed in the last two years and for officially starting out the Network of Youth Excellence.




International Seminar about Environment and Gene Technology

The main topic of the seminar is interaction between gene technology and environment. With the participation of 50 students from different countries, the event aims at improving general knowledge by receiving interesting information about advances and breakthroughs in gene technology and environment science; meeting people with first-hand knowledge; discussing actual problems in different fields of biological science; making their voice heard on various issues of science; getting an opportunity to share practical information; and making personal contacts.
